Bilateral deafness and vestibular dysfunction is a genetic disease affecting the nervous system. The clinical signs of this pathology are deafness, head tilt, circular movements and lack of coordination of the limbs as well as abnormal eye movements. The first symptoms (deafness) usually appear at the age of 3 weeks.

Hereditary ataxia is a genetic disease causing a degeneration of the nerve cells. The symptoms of this pathology are progressive motor disorders leading to an inability to walk as well as a proprioceptive deficit of the hind limbs. The first clinical signs usually appear between 4 and 19 months of age.

Mitochondrial fission encephalopathy is a genetic disease of the nervous system. Bullmastiffs with MFE show a variety of symptoms such as ataxia, visual impairment, progressive gait abnormalities and behavioral abnormalities. The first clinical signs are usually observed around 6 months of age.

Neuroaxonal dystrophy is a genetic neurodegenerative disease. Symptoms include various neurological symptoms such as abnormal gait, loss of balance, head tremors and involuntary eye movements (nystagmus).

Leukoencephalomyelopathy is a neurodegenerative disease characterised by a progressive loss of mobility and coordination of the limbs. The first symptoms usually appear between 1 and 4 years of age.

Footpad hyperkeratosis is a genetic disease causing a proliferation of epidermal cells. The symptoms of this pathology are thickening and hardening of the pads of all four paws. The first clinical signs usually appear during the first year of life.

In puppies with CHG, thyroid function is reduced. The main symptoms are enlarged thyroid glands, goiter and growth retardation. The first clinical signs appear a few weeks after birth.

Progressive retinal atrophy is an inherited eye disease characterized by bilateral degeneration of the photoreceptor cells of the retina resulting in progressive vision loss leading to total blindness. Other mutations can cause progressive retinal atrophy. 

Myotonia congenita is a genetic disease affecting the mechanism of muscle contraction, the main symptoms of which are muscle hypertrophy, a stiff gait, difficulty swallowing and dental anomalies. Clinical signs appear within a few weeks of birth.

Dogs with POAG have elevated intraocular pressure leading to loss of vision and usually to lens luxation (PLL). The first symptoms usually appear between 4 and 6 years of age.
